PROPERTIES

Fatroximin Pessaries contain rifaximin, a synthetically produced antibiotic belonging to the ansamycine family. Pharmacokinetic studies have shown that thanks to its special chemical structure, rifaximin remains within the uterus, not passing through the uterine wall and hence determining optimum drug availability in the uterus as well as leaving no residues at all in the animal’s milk or meat.
Fatroximin Pessaries are endowed with high antibacterial activity against Gram-positive (Arcanobacterium pyogenes, Corynebacterium spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.) and Gram-negative microorganisms (E. coli, Pasteurella spp., Salmonella spp., etc.), aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms.
Disposable rubber gloves are included.

INDICATIONS

Fatroximin Pessaries are indicated for the therapy and prevention of infections of the female genital tract and more specifically: metritis, endometritis, cervicitis, vulvovaginitis, septic infections following delivery, placental retention, dystocia and prophylaxis following manual or instrumental obstetric manoeuvres.
