METROSULFA

Description

DIRECTIONS:
METROSULFA is long-acting and has a large distribution, with bactericide activity caused by blocking two enzymes that catalyze the reaction of the biosynthesis of folinic acid in microorganisms, a mechanism that prevents the development of resiliency. METROSULFA acts against Gram-negative and Gram-positive germs such as: Streptococcus (including hemolytic streptococcus), Salmonella, Klebsiella, Shigella, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Vibrio coli, Staphylococcus, Neumococcus, Meningococcus, Haemophilus, Escherichia coli and Proteus. METROSULFA is indicated for the treatment of metritis, infection after placental retention, post labor septicemia, respiratory system diseases, diarrhea, foot rot, coccidiosis, mastitis and peritonitis in bovines. In equines, this product is indicated for the treatment of sinusitis, respiratory system diseases, strangles or goiter, genitourinary infections, diarrhea, omphalophlebitis, skin diseases, middle ear infection, pharyngitis and influenza. In porcines, it is indicated for bronchopneumonia, toxoplasmosis, colibacillosis, atrophic rhinitis, infectious enteritis and influenza. In canines and felines, this product is indicated for the treatment of interdigital cysts, infectious dermatitis, furunculosis, bronchopneumonia, viral infections, ear infection, sinusitis, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, salmonellosis and gastroenteritis. In ovines and caprines, it is indicated for bronchopneumonia, infected wounds, diarrhea and salmonellosis.

DOSAGE:
Bovines and equines: 20 to 30 ml. Calves and colts: 5 ml. Breeding porcines (heavy): 5 to 10 ml. Porcines in general: 2 to 4 ml. Ovines and caprines: 3 to 5 ml. Lambs: 1 ml Canines: 0.5 to 1 ml. Birds: dilute 100 ml in 1500 ml of SUERO FISIOLÓGICO SALINO and apply 1 ml intramuscularly per each kg of body weight. Ostriches 3 to 6 months old: 3 to 6 ml. Ostriches over 6 months of age: 5 to 12 ml. The dosage may be reduced or increased according to the zootechnician veterinarian.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTE:
Intramuscular, subcutaneous and intravenous in equines (preferably slowly).
WARNINGS:
Keep in a dry and cool place. Keep away from sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children. Its use is contraindicated in cases of renal impairment. This product must not be used 5 days before animals are slaughtered for human consumption.
