DIRECTIONS:
The Benzyl Benzoate (o peruscabine) is the component of the Peru balsam and the Tolu balsam. It is found in natural form in some balsamic resins. It is also used as parasiticide, acaricide, sarcopticide and pediculocide. The results obtained in the treatment of sarcoptic mange (against Sarcoptes scabiei varieties of equi, bovis, ovis, suis and canis) provide high reliability to this product. The salicylic acid helps maintain the balance of the skin’s acid and makes it possible for the benzyl benzoate to penetrate into the deep layers. It contains an epidermis protector that acts against biological agents (parasites, fungi) as antiseptic and disinfectant. Because of its keratolytic action, this product produces flaking by dissolving the intercellular cement that attaches the flakes or scabs to the corneal extract (exfoliating action). For years, the benzyl benzoate and the salicylic acid have been allies. In our formula, we continue to use this combination because of the excellent results obtained. The vehicle or excipient is based on vegetable oil which is applied on the irritated and congested skin, increasing diffusion and penetration of both the benzyl benzoate and the salicylic acid. Both ingredients act rapidly on the agents that alter the skin. Sarcoptic mange is frequent in pigs (Sarcoptes scabiei, variety suis) and it starts in the head, tail and legs. The skin is thickened and presents intense itching. In horses, mange (Sarcoptes scabiei, variety equi) disseminates rapidly in the head, neck and shoulders, producing itching and scabbing in the infested areas. The issue has to be taken care of as soon as it is detected. If not, it becomes chronic. In bovines (Sarcoptes scabiei, variety bovis), the problem presents itself in a similar manner as in pigs and horses, and it is also detected in the perianal area. It usually disappears during the summer. In dogs (Sarcoptes scabiei, variety canis), due to incubation, tunnels are formed in the skin causing very intense and exasperating pruritus or itching. The injuries can be observed around the lips, eyes and ears, extending to other body parts. The skin looks dry, thickened and wrinkled.

DOSAGE:
2 g every 100 kg of body weight (equivalent to 200 mcg of ivermectin per kg of weight).
ADMINISTRATION ROUTE:
Apply SARNASANA after having washed the affected skin with water and soap. Thanks to its vehicle, diffusion is rapid. Apply by rubbing moderately for approximately 3 minutes. Repeat the treatment for several days until recovery is evident. SARNASANA is safe even if the animal licks it.
