L-ETICINA

Description

DIRECTIONS:
Oxytetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is absorbed intravenously, subcutaneously or intramuscularly. The therapeutic levels are presented 15 to 30 minutes persisting for many hours. L-ETICINA is distributed rapidly in tissues and body fluids (with the exception of cerebrospinal fluid). It is eliminated through urine. L-ETICINA is indicated for the treatment of primary and secondary infections in bovines, equines, porcines, ovines, caprines, felines and canines. L-ETICINA is efficient when used in pigs for the control of pasteurellosis, erysipellosis, leptospirosis, metritis and mastitis. In bovines, it is efficient for the treatment of anaplasmosis, Pasteurella pneumonia, infectious pneumonitis, foot rot and actinomycosis. When applied intrauterinely, it is useful in the treatment of metritis and pyometra. It is also used for intramammary treatment of mastitis. This is a bacteriostatic antibiotic that attacks Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, mycoplasma, certain rickettsias, protozoa and psittacosis germs (Chlamydia), which cause lymphogranuloma. L-ETICINA acts against agents such as: Haemophilus, Streptococcus, Bordetella, Salmonella, Shigella, E. coli, Vibrio, Proteus, Staphylococcus, Klebsiella, Neisseria, Leptospira, Pseudomona, Brucella, Clostridium and Pasteurella.

DOSAGE:
Bovine, equine, porcine, ovine and caprine: 1 to 2 ml per each 10 kg of body weight (10 to 20 ml per each 100 kg of weight.) Canines and felines: 1 ml per each 5 kg of body weight. Birds: 0.5 ml per kg of body weight. Ostrich chicks 3 to 5 months old: 1.5 to 5 ml. Ostriches 5 months of age or more: 5 to 7 ml. The dosage may be reduced or increased according to the zootechnician veterinarian. Intrauterine infusion: 10 to 15 ml in one liter of Tornel physiological saline serum deposited in the lower portion of neck or cervix. External application: case by case.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTE:
Intramuscular, intravenous, external, oral, intramammary or intrauterine.
WARNINGS:
This product shall not be used 30 days before the animals are slaughtered for human consumption. Do not consume the milk of treated animals until 3 days after the last treatment. Keep this product in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children.
